To create a prosperity altar using Lakshmi as the primary focal point, you will want to include something shiny, like silver, gold or copper coins, and the colors green and gold.

The perfect addition to your altar would be two elephants and a photo or statue of Lakshmi. For my own prosperity altar honoring Lakshmi I have placed a photo of her into a rich looking, green picture frame. Lakshmi is attracted to her own image. On each side of her photo I have placed small elephants carved of green tree agate. Green Tree Agate is one of the major prosperity stones and the sacred elephant is one of Lakshmi's symbols.

As an offering to Lakshmi I have also placed a large piece of Malachite with a small, shiny mirror under it, and a dish of cinnamon on my altar.

The main focus of my altar is a crystal bowl full of shiny silver coins. Every day for several months now I have given an offering to Lakshmi in the form of a silver coin, dropped into this crystal bowl. The coin can be a dime, quarter, nickel or any coin that is silver and shiny. I drop the coin into her special bowl at the end of every day and say "Thank you Lakshmi". In essence I am sharing my abundance with Lakshmi by doing that. Since it is a two-way channel I know I will always be provided for.

It is not very often that we have the opportunity to give an offering to one of the goddesses on a daily basis.

I wish Lakshmi's blessings and prosperity for you.

Oya is the Yoruban goddess of justice and peace. She is the goddess to call when you need help in the workplace. Oya's color is red. Oya's altar consists of a small jar of pure water (symbolic of the river she presides over), buffalo horn (her personal symbol), red beans (to honor and appease her), fire stones (an awesome fire symbol), and a candle (a symbol of light and reflection). To make sure that my focus was on my workplace, I put one of my business cards under the jar of water. The buffalo horn Sun Disk sits on top of the jar.
