The "Tranquility Altar" I created came as a result of my need for a bit of peace in my workspace. This altar can easily be set up in just about any office. It is very discreet and attractive. By bringing in the four elements, I have created a genuine peace-producing group of objects that are extremely symbolic. 

The "Tranquility Altar" is very simple and consists of a small plant, 4 polished calcite stones (or any other 4 stones that represent the four elements) and a photo I took at Seven Springs in Arizona. A tranquil place if ever there was one. The picture is of a small brook with lots of trees. Any nature photo of your own will do. You probably have one tucked away in a photo album you haven't thought about in a long time.

The 4 stones are very symbolic and represent the four elements; fire, earth, air, and water. They are red, green, yellow (orange), and blue natural (not polished) Calcite. Click on the link to the left to see and/or order natural calcite from our web site.
